Error: Setup tried to create invalid...due to shared file location not updating.
Error:
Setup tried to create an invalid path using <folder name> and <file name>.
Cause:
Office Professional is being setup over an existing workstation installation of Microsoft Office Standard. The original Office Standard installation was done using the 'Run from Server' option. The shared files were therefore installed to the network. The shared file location is not updated properly by the Office Professional installation.
Solution:
Abort the setup and run Setup for Office Standard. Select the Remove All option and rerun Office Professional setup.
1) Click 'Abort' when prompted to exit the Office Professional Setup.
2) Close all open applications:
a) Right-click on the taskbar button for the application and select 'Close' from the shortcut menu.
b) Click 'Close' to close the application.
3) Click 'Start' todisplay the Windows 'Start' menu.

4) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'.

5) Open the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon.
6) Click the 'Install/Uninstall' tab.
7) Select 'Microsoft Office' from the list of installed applications.

8) Click 'Add/Remove...'.
9) Insert the Office 95 installation CD ROM or diskette when prompted.
10) Click 'Remove All'.

11) Follow instructions to uninstall Microsoft Office.
12) Run Setup to install Office 95 Professional.
